This Friday is the first presentation of the Fall/Winter season. We are using this episode to do a shake-down run on the equipment and to set the tone for the rest of the season. Our topic this week (rather than a fly) is the role territory plays in a well-tied fly whether it is destined for a fly-tying competition or your personal fly box. Usually, we start the program with the “main topic” but tonight is different. We are starting with the WEEKLY TIP. In this case, it’s a new tool never before seen in the fly-tying world. HINT: It comes from the garden! You’ll just have to join us to learn about it. Also, we’ll be starting a new and exciting part of the SHARING section; it will take some time to explain so plan to keep any of your “sharing ideas, etc.” to 3 minutes or less. Boise River Fall Cleanup (07 Nov 2026)

BOISE RIVER FALL CLEANUP

We are joining VICE Outdoors to cleanup the Boise River on Saturday, November 7th.

Since they have a large group of volunteers focusing on the river at Ann Morrison Park, we plan to spread-out and focus on a different sections, depending on how many people we get.

When: 9AM Nov 7
Where: Meet at Westmorland Park , 6515 N Glenwood St, Garden City, ID 83714

The river will be down at winter flows. Bring waders if you have them, as we want to clean trash out of the river. A wading staff is recommended for safety.

We will also be removing fishing line from Riverside Pond.
