Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife

Oregon's state agency for fish and wildlife management, funded through sportsmen licensing.  Because of the Boise Valley's proximity to eastern Oregon's lower Owyee River, numerous fly anglers from Idaho are frequent guests in Oregon fishing waters.  The lower Owyhee River is a spectacular trout fishery.  The brown trout spawning redds are particularly vulnerable during the low water flows in the fall.  BVFF has committed to provide grant money funding a sign project on the lower Owyhee River for educating anglers of the sensitivity of these areas.
