My first memories involve sitting on a dock in Iowa with my Great Grandfather catching bullheads and catfish. I spent the first twenty years of my life as a gear fisherman. It wasn't until college that I taught myself how to fly fish on the Gunnison and Taylor Rivers near Gunnison, Colorado.
I've worked as a professional fishing guide in Colorado and Alaska and I've targeted and caught almost every freshwater species in the west on a fly rod, along with some not so common saltwater fish. My passion is catching big fish, in beautiful places.
