NOTE: There is no Fly Tying Friday on 5 November 2021 as that is the day the FFI Virtual Expo starts. If you have not registered, please do so by visiting the Fly Fisher’s International website.  We’ll be offering several classes there along with many presenters from around the country and the world.

A Veteran’s Streamer Selection

Back on our regular schedule on Friday, 12 November 2021, we’ll get to enjoy Mike Kelly’s presentation on his two favorite streamer patterns – the Corn Buck and the Mormon Girl. When we first contacted Mike about his presentation his choice of the Mormon Girl really caught our attention. It was one of Al’s favorite wet flies back in the 70s and early 80s and then fell by the wayside as other interesting patterns came to his attention. When Mike again brought the “Girl” to our attention but this time as a streamer, we knew we HAD to see it. We loved it and think you will as well. Why do we call it a “Veteran’s Streamer Selection?” Tune in to find out.

After Mike demonstrates his two streamers, we’ll end the evening with another “TYING TIP” from one of our books, “Dozen Dubbing Techniques.” We’ll discuss the question, does direction make a difference? Join us on Friday, 12 November 2021 at 6:00 PM (Mountain Time, adjust for your time zone) to find out.
