Cascade USFS Fish Survey Day 2:2

The Cascade US Forest Service is looking for help doing some fish electroshocking and fish counts on small streams in the Cascade Area. Shocking is done with backpack electroshock devices and volunteers help net and measure what is found.

Volunteers need to be able to hike in 2 miles on an old logging road. Bring waders or hippers and be prepared for Fall weather.  Bring your own lunch and water.

At the request of the USFS, registration is limited to 2 people per day.

LOCATION: Cascade USFS Office

Meet District Fisheries Biologist Dave Mays at the USFS office in Cascade, which is on HW55 next to the old Ashley Inn, which is now the NOBO Inn. Map Below.

TIME: Meet at 9AM Mountain Time. Back to Cascade by 5pm.

Directions: Take Hwy 55 North from Boise to Cascade, about 80 miles. It takes about two hours, with possible construction delays. Volunteers are encouraged to carpool.

Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement

Volunteers will need to sign a waiver of liability with the Cascade Forest Service department.

Waiver Acknowledgement of Understanding: As I register and attend this BVFF event I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this activity and further acknowledge that I know and understand the inherent risks. I assume full responsibility for all sickness, injuries or damages that may occur to me because of participating in the named event. By registering I acknowledge that the Boise Valley Fly Fishers are not responsible for any illness or injury associated with my participation in the named event.
