BVFF is supporting the South Fork Watershed group. Trout Unlimited is doing a willow planting near Danskin Bridge on the SF Boise River on Friday, April 3rd, and is looking for volunteers.
Volunteers will be joining forces with the Boise National Forest on Friday April 3, 2026 to plant willow and cottonwood cuttings in an effort to stabilize the riparian and mitigate sedimentation within the South Fork Boise River. Summer storms in 2025 have reinitiated sediment from the hills that is poised for delivery to the SF Boise and action is needed to help stabilize the ground.
